Cliff Lay has been resident DJ and one half of Maison since it first started in 1997. Since then his determination and constant hard work have seen his DJ career go from strength to strength.
It is Cliff's versatility that makes him stand out from the crowd, perfectly capable of playing the main set in the front room or the first set in the back room of any club. His experience allows him to develop a seamless progression from one style of music to another - whether from breakbeat to disco or from warm-up to swinging-from-the-ceiling house.
Cliff is the person responsible for bringing some of the world’s finest DJ talent to England’s south coast – including Groove Armada, Derrick Carter, Yousef, Steve Lawler and many many more.
He works hard and plays hard, squeezing in a few production efforts with Maison cohort Dave Chambers between gigs and working on the imminent re-launch of music download site Trax2Burn.
Since 2000 Cliff has been a regular and popular visitor to Ibiza, with two years as a resident for Pacha Ibiza, a weekly residency at Café Mambo providing the sunset soundtrack for Ministry’s chillout sessions, and now in 2006 realising his long-held ambition to become a resident for We Love… at their Sunday Space parties alongside Paul Woolford and Nic Fanciulli.
